Deleting BIM Labels from BIM Drawings

BIM drawings contain automatically and manually placed labels. You can remove existing labels from the active BIM drawing or from all BIM drawings you generate based on the BIM model.

The BIMDeleteLabel command deletes all labels of a specified type. The command displays the BIM Delete Label dialog box, which lists the label types used in the drawings.

The command works in Model mode and in Sheet mode.

Note: You cannot restore labels that you deleted from all BIM drawings.

To delete BIM labels from all BIM drawings generated from a BIM model:

Before starting, make sure you have generated the BIM drawings and you have placed the necessary labels.

  1. In Model mode, type BIMDeleteLabel at the command prompt.
  2. Click Yes to confirm.
  3. From the BIM Delete Label dialog box, select the label types to delete.

    Note: Use Shift and Ctrl for multiple selection.

  4. Click OK.

    All labels of the specified type are deleted from all drawings that you generated based on the active BIM model.

To delete BIM labels from the active BIM drawing:

  1. In a BIM drawing, type BIMDeleteLabel at the command prompt.
  2. Click Yes to confirm.
  3. From the BIM Delete Label dialog box, select the label types to delete.

    Note: Use Shift and Ctrl for multiple selection.

  4. Click OK.

    All labels of the specified type are deleted from the active BIM drawing.
