-BIMIMPORT

Use the -BIMImport command to import .ifc and .rvt files and display their content in the current .dwg file. The current .dwg file stores a link to the imported BIM files.

It is the command window variant of the BIMImport command.

Note: Make sure to save the drawing file before importing .ifc and .rvt files.

To import a BIM file:

  1. Type -BIMImport at the command prompt.
  2. If the current drawing is unnamed, specify Yes to save the drawing.

You can specify an existing drawing file or save the drawing to an earlier version.

  3. Specify the complete path and name of the drawing file.
  4. Specify the complete path and name of the BIM file to import.
  5. Type Yes and press Enter to confirm.

The BIM Navigator displays the imported file in the BIM Files list.
