Importing Files from Other CAD Programs

Use the Import command to import drawing files created by other applications or CAD programs.

Currently, the command supports the import of the following file types:

  • ACIS SAT files (from version 1.05 to 11.00)
  • Stereolithography files (STL)
  • STEP files

To import files from other CAD programs:

  1. Type Import at the command prompt.
  2. Navigate to the file to import and click Open.
