Recovering a Drawing and Replacing the Current Drawing

Use the ReplaceRecover command to to close the current drawing and partially recover a damaged drawing file.

Use this utility when you experience difficulties opening an existing drawing. File damage may apply to only a part of the drawing; this utility helps to salvage undamaged drawing elements from the file.

To recover a damaged drawing and replace the current drawing:

  1. Type ReplaceRecover.
  2. To specify whether you want to save the changes in the current drawing, type Yes or No.
  3. In the dialog box, select the file name of the damaged drawing, and click Open.
