Checking Spelling
You can check the spelling of all text entities that exist in your drawings.
Check Spelling as You Type
Additionally, you can check the spelling as you type in the Note and SimpleNote editor.
To check the spelling as you type, on the Edit Note toolbar, click Other Options > Editor Settings > Spellcheck.

For checking the spelling of text in your drawing, you can use the following spell checker libraries:
- Microsoft® Office spell checker
You must have Microsoft Word installed on your computer together with the spell checking component and suitable dictionaries. The application locates Word's spell checker and uses its spell checking features.
- Hunspell spell checker
Hunspell is a free open-source spell checker library used by many applications, such as Google Chrome, and macOS.
You can specify the resources to use for checking the spelling of the text in the drawing on the System Options page of the Options dialog box.
Custom Dictionaries
Custom dictionaries store spelling exceptions that are not part of the default dictionary. Custom dictionary files have .cus extension.
You can specify a custom dictionary in the Options dialog box: File Locations > System > Dictionary Files > Custom Dictionary File.

Best practices to improve text accuracy:
- Choose the dictionary according to the language
- Add custom words to the dictionary
- Use AI tools
AI-driven tools let you translate, refine writing, check spelling, and summarize text.
To check spelling:
- Type SpellCheck at the command prompt.
- Do one of the following:
- On the ribbon, click Annotate > Text > Check Spelling.
- Type SpellCheck.
- In the graphics area, select the Text entities to check and press Enter.
If no misspelled words are found, a message is displayed.
- The Spell Check dialog box appears if the software finds a spelling mistake:
- Under Current word, the dialog box displays the word in doubt.
- Under Context, the dialog box displays the Text line or portion of the Text line.
- Under Suggestions, corrections are proposed.
- You can:
- Ignore the suggestion for the current appearance of the word in doubt.
- Ignore All the suggestions for all appearances of the word in doubt.
- Change the current word to the word you select in Suggestions.
- Change All appearances of the misspelled words to the word you select in Suggestions.
- Add the word in doubt to the dictionary.
- Look Up a word to find synonyms.
- Change Dictionary to specify another language for spell checking.
- Click Close.
To change the dictionary while checking spelling:
- Type SpellCheck at the command prompt.
- Do one of the following:
- On the ribbon, click Annotate > Text > Check Spelling.
- Type SpellCheck.
- In the graphics area, select the Text entities to check and press Enter.
The Spell Check dialog box appears if the software finds a spelling mistake.
- In the Spell Check dialog box, click Change Dictionary.
- In the Change Main Dictionary dialog box, specify another language.
Note: The set of languages varies according to the specified libraries for checking the spelling.
- Click OK.
