«Table» Ribbon Tab

You can insert, delete, merge, or resize cells, rows, and columns in tables. You can modify the cells in place or use the EditTableCell command.

The Table ribbon tab appears on table cells selection.

Use the tools on the Table ribbon tab to modify the table.

Insert panel:

Tool Button Description
Column Left Inserts a column to the left of the selected column. If you selected multiple columns, the same number of columns are inserted.
Column Right Inserts a column to the right of the selected column. If you selected multiple columns, the same number of columns are inserted.
Row Above Inserts a row above the selected row. If you selected multiple rows, the same number of rows are inserted.
Row Below Inserts a row below the selected row. If you selected multiple rows, the same number of rows are inserted.

Remove panel:

Tool Button Description
Row Deletes the row(s) of selected cell(s).
Column Deletes the column(s) of selected cell(s).

Size panel:

Tool Button Description
Rows Equally Makes the selected rows of equal height. The total height of the table does not change.
Columns Equally Makes the selected columns of equal width. The total width of the table does not change.

Merge panel:

Tool Button Description
Merge (Flyout)

Combines selected cells. Specify whether to merge All, Horizontal, or Vertical. This option is not available if you select only one cell.
Unmerge Deletes the column(s) of selected cell(s).

Cell panel:

Cell Format

Displays the Cell Format dialog box. You can specify the border line style of the cell.

Data panel:

Data

Specifies the cell data type.

Formula panel:

Formula

Inserts the specified formula in the cell. This option is not available if you select more than one cell.
