Requirements for Sharing Drawings and Collaborating¶
To use the desktop application in a collaborative way, you need the following:
Valid ARES Kudo License and Graebert Account
You need a valid ARES Kudo License and a Graebert Account to use the Cloud Storage services with the desktop application. Connect to the Graebert Customer Portal to check if you have been granted access to ARES Kudo.
At least one Cloud Storage account
You need a Cloud Storage account to store your project content. In the current version, the following Cloud Storage services are supported:
Google Drive® (https://www.google.com/drive/)
Dropbox® (https://www.dropbox.com)
Box® (www.box.com)
Onshape® (www.onshape.com)
OneDrive® (www.onedrive.live.com)
OneDrive® for Business (https://onedrive.live.com/about/business/)
Trimble Connect® (https://connect.trimble.com/)
Any storage which supports WebDAV (Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning) connections (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebDAV)
Other Cloud Storage services will be gradually added in future releases.
Note: To use Cloud Storage services to store your drawings, you must connect them to ARES Kudo. Once the connection is established, you can open your drawings from the Cloud in the desktop application, as well as in ARES Kudo. See Connecting a Cloud Storage Account in ARES Kudo Online Help.
