Using View Tile Controls

View Tile controls let you manage View Tiles, views, and visual style options in the current View Tile.

The controls are displayed in the top left corner of the active View Tile, with labels representing the current selection for each available option:

  • [+]/[-]. Controls View Tile configurations and View Tile options

  • [Top]. Controls ortographic views and 3D projections

  • [2D Wireframe]. Controls system and user-defined visual styles

To enable View Tile controls:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Click Tools > Options (or type Options).

      In the Options dialog box, click System Options system_options .

    • Type SystemOptions.

  2. Expand View Tile Controls.

  3. Select Display the View Tile Controls to enable View Tile controls.

  4. Click OK.

To change the View Tile configuration:

  1. Click View Tile Controls [-]/[+]

  2. From the menu, specify an option:

    • Maximize View Tile: Switches to a single View Tile.

    • Restore View Tiles: Switches to the default configuration of four equal View Tiles.

    • View Tiles Configuration: Displays a list of available configurations.

      Select a configuration from the list to apply it to the current View Tile.

To change the view in the current View Tile:

  1. Click View Controls to display a list of standard and custom views.

    The button displays the name of the current view.

  2. Select the view to apply to the current View Tile.

    - or -

    Click Views to open the Views dialog box.

To apply a visual style to the current view:

  1. Click Visual Style Controls to display a list of system and user-defined visual styles.

    The button displays the name of the current visual style.

  2. Select a visual style to apply to the current View Tile.

    - or -

    Click Visual Style Manager to open the Visual Styles palette.
