Status Bar

The status bar is located at the bottom of the application window.

It is divided into the following areas:

Tooltips

The left side of the status bar displays tooltips. If you move the pointer over toolbar icons or menu items, a description of the command or function displays in the tooltips area.

Drafting Settings

The middle of the status bar contains buttons to turn on and off drafting options. These are:

Other Options

  • LWeight. Turns on and off LineWeights display.

  • MODEL / SHEET. When the Model tab is active, this option switches to the most recently used layout Sheet. When a layout Sheet is active, this option switches between the Sheet workspace and the Model workspace of the most recently used Viewport.

  • AMonitor. Turns on and off the Annotation Monitor.

Coordinate Display

Next to the option buttons the status bar shows the X-, Y-, and Z-coordinates of the pointer.

Notification Area

The notification area of the status bar displays a balloon to indicate that an external reference drawing has changed and needs reloading.

Right-clicking the Reference icon ( icon_status_external_reference ) displays a menu:

  • References. Displays the References palette.

  • Reload References. Drawings that contain referenced drawings are displayed in their current states.

Customization Menu

Clicking the Customize status bar icon ( icon_status_options ) displays a menu. Checking and unchecking options in the menu shows or hides buttons in the status bar.

tip Use the option from the Customize status bar menu to show only the tools you use for your current project.

Additional options let you choose how to display buttons in the status bar:

  • Show icons. Shows status bar icons instead of plain text.

  • Show labels. Shows status bar with plain text only.

  • Show icons & labels. Shows status bar icons and text.
