-ReplaceBlockByReference

Use the -ReplaceBlockByReference command to replace block insertions by instances of an external reference.

It is the command window variant of the ReplaceBlockByReference command.

To replace a block by reference:

  1. Type -ReplaceBlockByReference at the command prompt.

  2. Specify the Block to replace:

    • Type the name of the Block to replace or specify the ? option to list existing Blocks.

      - or -

    • Use the Specify Block option to specify the Block in the graphics area.

  3. Press Enter to confirm.

  4. In the file selection dialog box, navigate to the folder which contains the replacing drawing file.

  5. Specify the replacing drawing file and click Open.

  6. To specify whether to clean unreferenced definitions of replaced Blocks, type Yes or No.
