Discarding Duplicate Vertices from Lightweight Polylines

Use the ClearLwPolyline command to examine each vertex of specified lightweight PolyLines and remove duplicate vertices from them.

Lightweight PolyLines are the default entity type for PolyLines. In new drawings, the PolyLine command creates optimized lightweight PolyLines. In older drawings non-lightweight PolyLines are converted by default when you open the drawing.

 Note: With the DiscardDuplicates command, you can also:

• Remove duplicate PolyLine segments
• Apply it to other overlapping entities of other types
• Set options to process specific entities and to take in account certain circumstances

To discard duplicate vertices from lightweight PolyLines:

1. Type ClearLwPolyline at the command prompt.
2. In the graphics area, select lightweight PolyLines.
3. Press Enter.

   A message reports the number of duplicate vertices that were removed.
