-Parameters

Use the -Parameters command create and edit Constraint expressions and values.

It is the command window variant of the Parameters command.

The command provides the following options:

To list all Dimensional Constraints or user-defined variables:

  1. Type -Parameters at the command prompt.
  2. Type ? to display all user-defined variables.

To create user-defined variables:

  1. Type -Parameters at the command prompt.
  2. Type New and press Enter.
  3. Type the name of the new parameter.
  4. Type the expression for the new parameter.

To delete Dimensional Constraints or user variables:

  1. Type -Parameters at the command prompt.
  2. Type Delete and press Enter.
  3. Specify the name of the parameter to delete.
  4. If the variable is referenced by a Dimensional Constraint in the drawing or in an expression, you are prompted to confirm deletion.

To rename Dimensional Constraints or user variables:

  1. Type -Parameters at the command prompt.
  2. Type Rename and press Enter.
  3. Type the name of the parameter to rename.
  4. Type the new name of the parameter.

To edit expressions of a Dimensional Constraints or user variables:

  1. Type -Parameters at the command prompt.
  2. Type the name of the parameter for which you want to edit the expression.
  3. Type Edit and press Enter.

    The existing expression and its value is displayed.

  4. Specify the new expression with operators, functions, variables and values.
