A print stamp is a text that you can add on the printed drawing to help you identify printed copies. Print stamps may include information such as date and time, drafters name, drawing file name, sheet name, or scale, so that later, you can find the original drawing on your computer. Additionally, you can define your own information that you would need to see on the printed drawing.
Print stamps are useful for big projects, with many drawings and several people involved. Print stamps let you identify printed drawings created by a particular drafter or drawings that were modified on a specified date.
You can write the print stamp information to a log file or to the printed output.
Optionally, you can store print stamp information in a PSS file (Plot Stamp Settings) for later use. Also, PSS files allow multiple users to load the same file and add it on their own printed drawings.
The workflow for adding a print stamp when printing a drawing includes the following steps:
Use the PrintStamp command to configure a print stamp for your drawing. The command displays the Print Stamp dialog box which groups all options for configuring print stamps. Alternatively, you can access the Print Stamp dialog box before printing, from the Print dialog box.
Use the Print stamp on option from the Print dialog box to enable print stamp.
Note: You can only see the print stamp onto the printed drawing.
