Using ViewTile Controls

ViewTile controls let you manage ViewTiles, views, and visual style options in the current ViewTile.

The controls are displayed in the top left corner of the active ViewTile, with labels representing the current selection for each available option:

To enable ViewTile controls:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Tools > Options (or type Options).

      In the Options dialog box, click System Options .

    • Type SystemOptions.
  2. Expand ViewTile Controls.
  3. Select Display the ViewTile Controls to enable ViewTile controls.
  4. Click OK.

To change the ViewTile configuration:

  1. Click ViewTile Controls [-]/[+]
  2. From the menu, specify an option:
    • Maximize ViewTile: Switches to a single ViewTile.
    • Restore ViewTiles: Switches to the default configuration of four equal ViewTiles.
    • ViewTiles Configuration: Displays a list of available configurations.

      Select a configuration from the list to apply it to the current ViewTile.

To change the view in the current ViewTile:

  1. Click View Controls to display a list of standard and custom views.

    The button displays the name of the current view.

  2. Select the view to apply to the current ViewTile.

    - or -

    Click Views to open the Views dialog box.

To apply a visual style to the current view:

  1. Click Visual Style Controls to display a list of system and user-defined visual styles.

    The button displays the name of the current visual style.

  2. Select a visual style to apply to the current ViewTile.

    - or -

    Click Visual Style Manager to open the Visual Styles palette.
