Importing BIM Files

You can import .ifc and .rvt files and display their content in the current .dwg file. The current .dwg file stores a link to the imported BIM Files.

  • Note: Make sure to save the drawing file before importing .ifc and .rvt files.

To import a BIM file:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • In the BIM Navigator palette, click Import.

    • Type BIMImport.

  2. Navigate to the file to import and click Open.

    The BIM Navigator displays the imported file in the BIM Files list.

    tip Click button_bim_unlock to insert the BIM file content in the graphics area.

Access

BIM Navigator palette: click Import.
