Saving Drawings to the Cloud Storage

You can save the current drawing to a Cloud Storage. If the drawing includes references to different types of files, such as other DWG files, image files, PDF and DGN underlays, you can automatically upload e them in the Cloud Storage as well.

Note: To use Cloud Storage services to store your drawings, you must connect them to the Cloud application.

To save the current drawing to the Cloud Storage:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the menu, click File > Save to Cloud.
    • Click the Application Button and select Save to Cloud from the Application Menu.
    • On the Quick Access Toolbar, click Save to Cloud.
    • On the ribbon, click Collaborate > Cloud Storage > Save to Cloud.
    • Right-click the drawing tab and select Save to Cloud from the displayed menu.
    • Type SaveToCloudStorage.
  2. On the Cloud Storage palette, specify:
    • In Filename, specify the name of the drawing.
    • In Storage, specify the Cloud Storage where to save the drawing.
    • Select the folder where to save the drawing.

      Use the Back button to navigate one folder up within the path.

  3. Click Save.
  4. To specify whether you want to keep the initial boundary, type Yes or No. Press Enter.
  5. If the drawing contains external references, specify whether you want to upload external references as well. Type Yes or No.

    The drawing is saved in the specified location, on the specified Cloud Storage.

    Referenced files, if there are any, are uploaded in a separate folder, at the same location as the drawing containg the references. A message box displays the upload progress.

    Note: Deleting the file containing references does not delete the referenced files.
