Creating Dimension Styles from Existing Dimensions

Use the NewDimensionStyle command to create a new dimension style from a specified dimension.

To create a dimension style from an existing dimension:

  1. Type NewDimensionStyle at the command prompt.

  2. In the graphics area, specify a dimension. This dimension serves as the base settings for the new DimensionStyle.

  3. In the dialog box, type the name of the new Dimension Style.

  4. Click OK.

    The new dimension style appears in the Options dialog box, on the Drafting Styles page, under Dimension.
