System Variable DIMGAP

Determines the gap between dimension text and dimension lines, that is an offset distance around the dimension text to be maintained when the dimension label is located between the dimension lines.

A negative value draws a reference box around the dimension text.

Text is placed inside dimension lines only if there are two line segments that are as long as the absolute value of the variable.
