Mechanical Toolbox Screw Connections¶
The Toolbox - Screw Connections dialog box helps you combine bolts and screws with nuts and washers using a single dialog box.
You can create a screw connection as a nested block, with all child components created as single blocks. If you explode a nested screw connection, the components remain as single blocks that are the same as those you can insert using the Toolbox - Hardware dialog box.
When you add a balloon to a screw connection, the Toolbox software inserts a stacked balloon that references each hardware component in the block.
Each component in the screw connection has its own layer.
The Display hidden parts option lets you choose the creation method for the bolts and screws in the screw connection:
When enabled, the creation method is Hidden side view 3, which includes hidden and center lines.
When cleared, the creation method is Side view 3, which shows only visible lines in the drawing.
