Editing Revision Tables¶
To modify revisions in sheets that reference the active revision table, you need to edit the active revision table. You can also edit an independent revision table you insert on the Model tab.
The steps for editing a revision table on the Model tab and the active revision table on a sheet tab are the same.
To initiate revision table editing:
Click Edit Revision Table
(Mechanical toolbar) or Mechanical Annotate > Revision Table > Edit Revision Table.
If you are on a sheet tab that contains a revision table that is linked to the active revision table, when you are prompted to activate Sheet 1, click OK.
The Command window lists these options:
**E**dit revision
Lets you edit a revision table row.
If you change the revision number, all symbols with that number are updated.
**D**elete revision
Prompts you to select a revision table row for deletion.
All symbols that reference the deleted row are also deleted.
**delete revision T**able
Deletes the entire revision table and all revision symbols.
**R**ecreate revision table
Reformats the revision table to align the text in all revision rows.
**reI**ndex revision table
Reorders revision numbers to their original numeric sequence if they are out of sequence.
In the Command window, at the Specify option prompt, type the shortcut for an editing option and press Enter.
Press ESC to exit the Edit Table command.
Editing a Revision
In the Command window, at the Specify option prompt, type E and press Enter.
Click the revision row to edit.
In the Toolbox - Add Revision dialog box, modify one or more fields and click OK.
If you modify the value of the REVISION field, the software updates the value for all revision symbols that are based on the revision. If you edit the active revision table on a sheet, the update includes any symbols on sheets that reference the active revision table.
