Constructing Dimensioned Rectangles

You can draw dimensioned rectangles with any size or orientation.

The dimension lines above or below and to the left or to the right of the rectangle use the current DimensionStyle.

To construct dimensioned rectangles:

1. Do one of the following:

   • On the ribbon, click Draw > Rectangle > Rectangle with Dimension.

   • On the menu, click Draw > Rectangle > With Dimension.

   • Type AM_RectangleAndDimensions.

2. In the graphics area specify the first corner of the rectangle.

3. Specify the opposite corner of the rectangle.

4. Specify the position of dimension line above or below the rectangle.

5. Specify the position of the dimension line to the left or to the right.

Command: AM_RectangleAndDimensions

Menu: Draw > Rectangle > With Dimension

Ribbon: Draw > Rectangle > Rectangle with Dimension
