Creating Construction Lines at an Angle Relative from a Specified Direction

Use the AM_ConstHw command to create a construction line through a point, by specifying an angle relative to a direction specified by points or by a relative angle.

You can switch between a ray and an xline using the AM_ConstSWI command.

To create a construction line at an angle from a specified direction:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • On the ribbon, click Home > Construction Lines > Construction Lines > Relative Angle from Line.

    • Type AM_ConstHw.

  2. In the graphics area, do the following:

    1. Specify a point the construction line passes through.

    2. Specify the direction of the auxiliary line. The construction line will be created at an angle, relative to this direction.

    3. Define a relative angle to place the construction line:

      • Specify a point.

        - or -

      • Specify the Relative Angle option and type a value.
