Calculating the Moment of Inertia for a Circular Cross Section

Use the AM_Inertia_Circular command to calculate the moment of inertia for the cross section of a rectangular prism.

To calculate a moment of inertia of a circular cross section:

  1. Draw the closed boundary of the cross section.

  2. Type AM_Inertia_Circular.

  3. Specify the outer diameter of the circular section for which you want to calculate the moment of inertia. You can specify the value or define two points in the graphics area.

    The table appears attache to the mouse cursor.

  4. In the graphics area, click a point to place the table.
